AFI... Not The Band
Last night there was a special on TV that listed the top 100 songs in movies according to the
American Film Institute (AFI). Okay, I'll give them the ones at the top... though I don't really know the films that well, the movies being older than the bible, I guess you have to make "classics" the ones at the top spot. It's like Q107 does there top 100 countdowns and Stairway To Heaven is number one... anyways. Here's a few scenes that did not make the list but definitely should have.
1) Wayne's World - I'm not talking about the "Foxy Lady" scene. I mean the Bohemian Rhapsody scene. That scene is classic. If you're ever in the car and Queen comes on, I really doubt that anyone doesn't think of this scene.
2) Back to the Future - Johnny B. Goode by Marty McFly. That scene kicks ass. Not to mention the fact that Michael J. Fox actually looks like he's playing.
3) Say Anything - In Your Eyes. If you've seen the film I think it's self-explanatory. Also, there are a number of Cameron Crowe scenes that might fit in there too... Free Fallin'?
